WATERTITE™ Etch & Cleaner is a sulfamic acid-based cleaning and etching solution for use prior to waterproofing or painting. Fast and effective, WATERTITE™ Etch & Cleaner removes tough, caked-on efflorescence-- a white, crystal, powder residue formed by moisture-- and excess mortar build-up on interior or exterior concrete, stone, brick, tile and galvanized metal. WATERTITE™ Etch & Cleaner is safer than muriatic acid, a standard etching material. The concentrated powder mixes with warm water to provide a light surface etch that promotes coating penetration and adhesion on cement, stone, tile, brick and other masonry surfaces. For complete waterproofing preparation before paint application, follow with quick-setting WATERTITE™ Hydraulic Cement to patch deep cracks and with permanently flexible WATERTITE™ Polyurethane Sealant to seal joints before waterproofing. |
